The Jordan Forum for Economic Development

Summary:

The Jordanian Forum for Economic Development (JFED), the economic arm of Al-Urdun Al-Jadid Research Center, boosted its activities during 2000 by organizing one seminar, four workshops and one brainstorming session. New members were selected to the JEFD advisory board, which held two meetings during the period.

In addition to publishing the annual 1999 report and the semi-annual report, covering the first half of the year 2000, about the Jordanian economy, the JEFD published a number of booklets containing the working papers and proceedings of the workshops and conferences which were organized by the Forum from February until the end of December/2000.
