Units

1.The Research and Studies Unit: This unit conducts research, studies and reports on the status of human rights, and the laws governing them. The researchers of this unit also formulate programs aimed at disseminating and introducing the general principles of human rights and freedoms, in addition to creating activity projects for the programs from the workshops, courses and seminars.

2. The Information Unit: This unit provides the referential databases concerning issues related to human rights and freedoms, and to the organizations working in these fields in the Arab world in general, and Jordan in particular. This unit documents and classifies the information obtained from the specialized periodicals, the working papers presented during the relevant conferences and seminars, and the bulletins and reports issued by the local, Arab and international organizations. The unit's database is a referential source for human rights activists, and concerned civil society organizations, academicians and researchers.

3. The Electronic Publication Unit (The Internet): This unit aims to reach the largest number of entities concerned with human rights issues, by publishing the activities, publications and future work-plans of the Human Rights Program, in addition to publishing summaries of the working papers presented during these activities, and the researches, studies and reports prepared by the Program researchers.

 

Advisory Committee

First meeting was held on 2/2/2002. The meeting discussed the prograns activities for the year 2002, and proposed vision plan to be implemented during the year 3003.
